Konoe Tadahiro (近衞忠大, 18 July 1970 – ) is a Japanese creative director, designer and branding advisor.[1]

He is the eldest son[2] of Konoe Tadateru, 31st generation of the Konoe Family, current President of the Japanese Red Cross Society and former President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and Konoe Yasuko, formerly Princess Yasuko of Mikasa.

Career

After graduating in Imaging Arts and Sciences from Musashino Art University in 1994, Konoe joined national TV broadcaster NHK where he directed and produced documentary material. In 1996, he left NHK, and after a period studying abroad, joined SUN Produce as TV program and event coordinator.

In 1997, he was appointed to his current role as reader for the Utakai Hajime New Year Poetry Recital of the Imperial Household Agency Board of Ceremonies. In 2004, he co-founded GT Partners, and in 2013, became director of Colours International. Since 2015, he has been Councilor at the Yōmei Bunko Foundation in Kyoto. In 2016, he became Director of the Kita Noh Roppeita XIV Memorial Foundation.[3]

In 2018, he co-founded design company curioswitch, where he is CEO and Creative Director.
