Konauli is a small village of 185 hectares in Lalganj Tehsil in Azamgarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Konauli depends on Nizamabad (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Konauli's pin code is 276302[4], and village code is 08766800. The area of Konauli is segregated as 144 hectares irrigated area, 7 hectares unirrigated area. the 24 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nizamabad (NP) and Azamgarh to sell jaggery and make their living.
