Prince Kolade Afeez Siyanbola Oladigbolu (Kolade Afeez Siyanbola Obasekore Oladigbolu; born on the 10th of August, 1985) is a member of the Oyo royal family, a mariner, businessman and a political commentator.[1][2][3][4][5] He is the grandson of Alaafin (XL) Abubakar Siyanbola Oladigbolu, the 40th Alaafin of Oyo between 1911-1944 and Ayaba Nihimotalahi Omowe, and the son of Prince Azeez Akano Kolade Oladigbolu and Alhaja Sidiqot.[3][5][6]
Early life
Prince Oladigbolu was born in Lagos in the year 1985.[5] After his birth, he was taken to Oyo for the local traditional rites accorded a child of princely status, a principle of royalty that did not allow some certain functions to be organized outside the location of the dynasty. He was raised in Oyo and returned to Lagos in 2008 to complete his higher education.[7]
Education
Prince Oladigbolu had his primary education at the St Mary RCM Primary School in Asogo, Oyo in the year 1996.[5] He then proceeded to the Anglican Methodists Secondary School. He was in his senior secondary class two in the year 2003 when his father removed him from the Anglican Methodists Secondary School to Islamic Comprehensive High School, Ibadan where he completed his secondary education in 2004.[7]
After his secondary education, Prince Oladigbolu proceeded to the Federal College of Fisheries And Marine Technology In Victoria Island, Lagos where he graduated from Nautical Science in the year 2008. From there he proceeded to Regional Maritime University in Accra, Ghana where he obtained his CW, STCW, RM, and COC certifications in maritime in the year 2012.[5][7]
Personal life
Prince Oladigbolu is married to Olubukola and has two children by her; Oladigbolu Islamiyah and Oladigbolu Adetokunbo Lateef.[1]
