Chinonso Nwodo ( Born 2nd May 1995) Popularly known as Kolaboy. Is a Nigerian musician, rapper and songwriter.[1]
Career
Kolaboy rose to fame after releasing his single "Onyx," featuring Emmanuella from Mark Angel (comedian) in its music video.[2] In 2018, Kolaboy released the single "You Didn't Caught Me," which garnered attention within the Nigerian music community. The song's success led to a remix featuring Nigerian singer Harrysong, further enhancing his visibility in the industry.[3]This led to collaborations with a variety of Nigerian singers, including Ugoccie.[4]
In 2020, Kolaboy released his debut EP titled "StoryTeller." This project featured collaborations with notable Nigerian musicians, including Wonder J, Masterkraft (producer), and Zoro (musician).[5]
In 2022, KolaBoy released an EP titled "Dream Come True," featuring a collaborative track with Nigerian musician Flavour (musician).[6]
In 2023, Hero Lager Beer appointed Kolaboy as their brand ambassador. [7]During the same year, Kolaboy released a single titled "Kolapaino," which gained notable attention within the Nigerian music industry. Subsequently, he collaborated with renowned Nigerian music artist Timaya, leading to a remix of the song.[8]
