Kodara is a small village of 125 hectares in Ballia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kodara depends on Sukhpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Kodara's pin code is 277123[4], and village code is 09178300. The area of Kodara is segregated as 119 hectares irrigated area, 2 hectares unirrigated area. the 1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 3 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kodara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
