Klea Ching Pineda (born March 19, 1999) is a Filipinos actress and model. Pineda became known for winning the StarStruck (season 6) of StarStruck (Philippine TV series) wherein she was named as the "Ultimate Female Survivor."[1]
Career
Acting career
- StarStruck stint and career beginnings
After winning the StarStruck (season 6) of GMA Network's reality competition StarStruck (Philippine TV series), Pineda landed an important role in Encantadia (2016 TV series), wherein she played as Muyak. She was later nominated as Best New Female TV Personality at the 31st PMPC Star Awards for Television for her performance.[2]
In 2016, Pineda then landed supporting roles in several shows such as A1 Ko Sa 'Yo, Meant to Be (TV series), and Karelasyon.
In 2018, Pineda was casted as Sefira in the fantasy series Sirkus (TV series). She also co-starred in the recently concluded afternoon series Ika-5 Utos, wherein she played as Candy Buenaventura, the love interest of lead actor Jeric Gonzales.[3][4]
- Transition to lead roles
In 2019, Pineda was casted to play the lead role of Clarisse in the afternoon series Magkaagaw, wherein she was paired again with Jeric Gonzales.[5] Her performance in the said series was applauded by the public and earned rave reviews. [6]
Modeling career and pageantry plans
In 2017, Pineda competed at the 11th Asian Supermodel Contest held in Saipan. She was awarded as Miss Photogenic.[7]
Pineda revealed in an interview that she is planning to pursue her dreams of joining beauty pageants and is currently in talks with a camp that will help her.[8] It was well-received by pageant enthusiasts and beauty queens, including Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, posting an Instagram story of a picture of her and Pineda, along with a caption “Future queen. Look at that face!”.[9]
