Kimberly Frances Braun (born September 2, 1988) is an American stage actor. She is best known for her regional and Off-Broadway credits at Folger Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Club studio, and Barber Theatre. [1]

Early Life

Kimberly grew up in Mankato, Minnesota She grew up performing from the age of five and continued to sing and perform through high school. After high school, Kimberly attended Gustavus Adolphus College and majored in Theatre Honors. [2]Immediately after graduating with her B.A. Kimberly moved to New York City. In 2019 she earned her Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of South Carolina. [3]

Career

Braun was on the National Tour of On Stage Alaska from 2014-2015. Braun is known for her singing abilities and has been a featured performer at many regional theaters. In 2019, Folger Theatre asked Braun to understudy Broadway's Alison Luff in the title role of Nell Gwynn (play)|Nell Gwynn.[4]Braun regularly guest lectures for the Guthrie Theater|Guthrie Theatre / University of Minnesota BFA Acting Program. Additional teaching credits include California Institute of the Arts|CalArts, University of California, Los Angeles|UCLA, University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire|University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and Gustavus Adolphus. Braun is currently a Director of the Denalifilmfestival.com|Denali Film Festival. She was featured as an Artistic Leader by Alaska (magazine)|Alaska Magazine in 2021.[5]
