Khushboo Patani (born November 23, 1991) is an Indian Army veteran, fitness influencer, and certified nutritionist.[1] She is widely recognized as the elder sister of Bollywood actress Disha Patani. Khushboo served in the Indian Army from 2013 to 2024, attaining the rank of Major. Following her military career, she transitioned into the health and wellness industry, gaining popularity on social media for her fitness content.[2][3][4]
Early Life and Education
Khushboo Patani was born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, into a Kumaoni Rajput family. Her father, Jagdish Singh Patani, is a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, and her mother, Padma Patani, served as a health inspector. She has two siblings: a younger sister, Disha Patani, a prominent Bollywood actress, and a younger brother, Suryansh Patani.
She completed her schooling at BBL Public School in Bareilly and pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from DIT School of Engineering, Greater Noida.
Military Career
Motivated by a sense of duty, Khushboo joined the Indian Army in March 2013 after clearing the requisite examinations.[5][6] She served with distinction for over a decade, retiring in 2024 with the rank of Major.[7][8][9]
Fitness and Social Media Presence
Post-retirement, Khushboo ventured into the fitness industry, becoming a certified trainer and nutritionist.[10][11] She shares workout routines, dance videos, and health tips on her Instagram account, @khushboo_patani, where she has amassed over 380,000 followers.[12][13]
Personal Life
Khushboo is known to have been in a relationship with musician Sahil Kumar, a member of the Delhi-based indie band Twin Strings.[14] However, Sahil Kumar is now married to Pavitra Krishnan.[15][16][17]
