Khushali Kumar (born 19 December 1988, New Delhi) is an Indian actress and fashion designer. She was born into a Hindu Punjabi to the late music mogul Gulshan Kumar Dua, the founder of the T-Series group and mother Sudesh Kumari Dua.[1] In 2015, she debuted in the Bollywood song video Mainu Ishq Da and has since appeared in popular songs like Highway Star[2], Raat Kamaal Hai[3][4], Mere Papa, Ik Yaad Purani.

Career

After graduating in Fashion Designing from NIFT, Delhi, she went on to create designs worn by pop sensation Shakira[5], 2 times Grammy Award Winner Singer Leann Rimes, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Spice Girl Melanie C, Carmen Electra amongst others[6]. She also designed for Justin Beiber’s music video Wait For a Minute[7][8]..

Kumar is going to make her acting debut in the film Dahi Cheeni starring R. Madhavan where she will be playing the role of a lawyer[9][10]

Khushali debuted in a music video which was sung by her sister Tulsi Kumar to pay tribute to their late father Gulshan Kumar"[8][11]

In 2018, Kumar appeared in a few short films, of which the film Jeena Mushkil Hai Yaar[12] previewed in film festivals like Life of Film Maker’s Session, Pinewood Studio’s UK and 9th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival and won the Honourable Jury mention Award at Dada Saheb Phalke Festival.[13] Khushali Kumar has won the Critic’s Choice Award for her performance in the Hindi feature film, Jeena Mushkil Hai Yaar, at the Druk International film Festival [14]

Personal life

Khushali was born into a Hindu Punjabi family to Gulshan Kumar and mother Sudesh Kumari Dua. She has two siblings, Bhushan Kumar and Tulsi Kumar.
