Khuhra is a small village of 3192 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khuhra depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khuhra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khuhra's pin code is 345026[4], and village code is 02054500. The area of Khuhra is segregated as 1130 hectares unirrigated, the 2039 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 23 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell ghee and make their living.
