Kherliya is a small village of 665 hectares in Kumbhalgarh Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kherliya depends on RAJSAMAND, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Kherliya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kherliya's pin code is 313324[4], and village code is 03007600. The area of Kherliya is segregated as 44 hectares irrigated area, 72 hectares unirrigated, the 284 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 265.25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rajsamand to sell juggary and make their living.
