Kherla is a small village of 1408 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kherla depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 25.32% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Kherla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kherla's pin code is 322202[4], and village code is 01243400. The area of Kherla is segregated as 408.73 hectares irrigated area, 500.99 hectares unirrigated, the 110.8 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 387.73 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kherla is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2589 and has total administration over 538 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Karauli to sell ghee and make their living.
