Kheriya Durjan is a small village of 508 hectares in Indragarh Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kheriya Durjan depends on LAKHERI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Kheriya Durjan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kheriya Durjan's pin code is 323603[3], and village code is 02742200. The area of Kheriya Durjan is segregated as 88 hectares irrigated area, 95 hectares unirrigated, the 179 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 146 hectare area not available for cultivation.
