Khera Meda is a small village of 523 hectares in Kathumar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khera Meda depends on KHERLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khera Meda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khera Meda's pin code is 321605[4], and village code is 00946600. The area of Khera Meda is segregated as 315 hectares irrigated area, 164 hectares unirrigated, the 2 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHERLI and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
