Khatkar is a small village of 1834 hectares in Udaipurwati Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khatkar depends on KHETRI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 230.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khatkar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khatkar's pin code is 333012[4], and village code is 00747700. The area of Khatkar is segregated as 934 hectares irrigated area, 576 hectares unirrigated, the 247 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 77 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHETRI and Jhunjhunu to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
