Khat Kalan is a small village of 917 hectares in Sawai Madhopur Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khat Kalan depends on SAWAI MADHOPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 174.80% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khat Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sawai Madhopur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
