Kharnal is a small village of 2651 hectares in Nagaur Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kharnal depends on Nagaur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kharnal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kharnal's pin code is 341001[4], and village code is 01812700. The area of Kharnal is segregated as 98 hectares irrigated area, 1934 hectares unirrigated, the 104 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 514.68 hectare area not available for cultivation.
