Khariya Tala is a small village of 1072 hectares in Barmer Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khariya Tala depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khariya Tala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Khariya Tala's pin code is 344001[4], and village code is 02207400. The area of Khariya Tala is segregated as 1026.8 hectares unirrigated, the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42.09 hectare area not available for cultivation.
