Khareen is a small village of 3921 hectares in Sheo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khareen depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khareen is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khareen's pin code is 344501[4], and village code is 02081500. The area of Khareen is segregated as 3351 hectares unirrigated, the 541 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 29 hectare area not available for cultivation.
