Kharaunch is a small village of 515 hectares in Naraini Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kharaunch depends on Naraini (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kharaunch's pin code is 210129[4], and village code is 04842400. The area of Kharaunch is segregated as 179 hectares irrigated area, 151 hectares unirrigated area. the 111 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 32 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Naraini (NP) and Banda to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
