Khanpura is a small village of 999 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khanpura depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khanpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Khanpura's pin code is 345033[4], and village code is 02063500. The area of Khanpura is segregated as 985.56 hectares unirrigated, remaining 13.4 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khanpura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Khanpura is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 596 and has total administration over 83 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
