Khanpur Mewan is a small village of 199 hectares in Mandawar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khanpur Mewan depends on KHAIRTHAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khanpur Mewan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khanpur Mewan's pin code is 301403[4], and village code is 00785000. The area of Khanpur Mewan is segregated as 53 hectares irrigated area, 65 hectares unirrigated, remaining 81 hectare area not available for cultivation.
