Khakra is a small village of 196 hectares in Chhabra Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khakra depends on Chhabra, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 34.02% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khakra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khakra's pin code is 325220[4], and village code is 03945300. The area of Khakra is segregated as 135.07 hectares irrigated area, 41.87 hectares unirrigated, remaining 19.08 hectare area not available for cultivation.
