Kenzhebek Baizhanovich Omuraliev[1] (March 30, 1967) is a Kyrgyz freestyle wrestler, world championship medalist, USSR champion, winner of the 1991 Summer Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR, bronze medalist of the USSR Championship, two-time European champion among juniors. Recognized as the best fighter in Kyrgyzstan of the 20th century, recognized as the best head coach of the country in 1998-2004. He is an international master of sports of the USSR, an honored master of sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, an honored trainer of the Kyrgyz Republic. Has the title of "Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic". Awarded with the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Biography

Born on March 30, 1967 in the Naryn region [2] of the Kirghiz SSR.

Kenzhebek started wrestling at the age of 12, when he studied at the Moscow secondary school in the village of Chaek.

The first great success was a victory at the regional level, in Naryn, in Frunze lay a direct road to the championship of the republic. And from the 8th grade, Kenzhebek began to study in a sports boarding school.

After graduating from a boarding school, Kenzhebek was drafted into the army in 1984, got into the sports company of the Red Banner Central Asian Military District. The service was held in Frunze. He continued to actively fight.

In 1985 he became the USSR champion among juniors in Kirovokan. European champion among juniors in Bologna (Italy). Winner of the I Youth Games of the USSR in Kiev.

In 1986 he became the winner of the USSR Championship among juniors. In the same year he won a gold medal at the European Championship among juniors in Sweden.

In 1987 he became the winner of the championship of the USSR Armed Forces, the Spartakiad of the Friendly Army of the USSR already among adults.

In 1989 he became a prize-winner of the USSR Championship in Makhachkala and a champion of the USSR military.

In 1990 he won the USSR Cup.

In 1991 he became the winner of the 1991 Summer Spartakiad of the peoples of the USSR[3] and the champion of the USSR[4]

After the collapse of the USSR, he began to advocate for an independent Kyrgyzstan.

In 1993 he took 4th place at the World and Asian Championships.

In 1994 he won a bronze medal at the World Championship[5] and took 4th place at the Asian Games.

In 1995, Kenzhebek was preparing for the Olympics in Atlanta, and in the pre-Olympic competitive cycle, a week before the Asian Championship, he was injured - he broke his rib. Fate did not give the opportunity to try the Olympic luck. I had to give up the sport.

After completing his sports career, he worked as the director of the specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve in freestyle wrestling in 1995-1998.

In 1998-2005, he was the head coach of the national team of Kyrgyzstan.

After leaving the post of head coach of the Kyrgyz national team in 2005, he became involved in private business and philanthropy.

Ran in the parliamentary elections in 2020[6]

On May 27, 2022, he was appointed director [7] Sports school of the Oktyabr District, Bishkek.
