Kemah Bob
Kemah Bob is an American comedian from Waco, Texas. She Bob uses She (pronoun) /Singular they pronouns. This article uses she/her pronouns for consistency. has hosted It's a Sin: After Hours, and co-hosts The Island with Tom Allen and Jason Forbes.
Early and personal life
Kemah was born in Waco, Texas,[1] and uses she/they pronouns.[2] Her grandfather is Camille Bob.[1] She has bipolar disorder, as does her mother and grandmother.[3]
Career
Bob started her comedy career in Los Angeles, and cited The Inbetweeners and Skins as her inspiration to move to the UK.[4]
Bob hosts a comedy night and podcast[5] called FOC It Up, featuring comedians of colour who aren't cisgender men.[6] In 2019 she was a finalist in the Funny Women awards.[7] She has written for Have I Got News for You, Death to 2020 and Late Night Mash, acted in Pls Like and appeared as a contestant in Richard Osman's House of Games and Question Team.
In 2021, she worked on the Comedy Central panel show Yesterday, Today and The Day Before but quit after the first episode 'in solidarity' with fellow comedian Sophie Duker over cuts to Duker's monologue about the conflict between Israel and Palestine.[8]
