Kelly Younger is a screenwriter, television writer, Emmy nominated[1] and PGA winning[2] producer, off-Broadway playwright, and story consultant. He is known for his work on the Muppets franchise (most recently as a co-writer on Muppets Haunted Mansion and Muppets Now) and as a member of the Disney Animation Story Trust, where his credits include Frozen II, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and Moana, among others.[3] His most recent project is Candy Cane Lane, an upcoming holiday comedy for Prime Video starring Eddie Murphy, directed by Reginald Hudlin, and produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, and Karen Lunder of Imagine Entertainment, which he based on his own experiences growing up around the holidays.[4]
Early life and education
Younger was born and raised in Los Angeles. He earned an MA in Classics (Mythology, Folktales, and Fairy Tales) from Loyola University Chicago and a PhD in Literature and Drama Studies from University College Dublin in Ireland.[5]

Teaching
Younger is a Professor of English and Affiliate Faculty of Theatre Arts at Loyola Marymount University.[6] He was awarded the Fritz B. Burns Professor of the Year Award for teaching in 2012.[7]
Theater Career
Younger also has extensive experience as a playwright. His credits include co-writing the comedy Kalamazoo with Michelle Kholos Brooks[3], as well as Banished Children of Eve (commissioned and produced by New York’s Irish Repertory Theatre)[8]. His play Mandate won the 39th Annual Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Theater Festival.[9]
Personal life
Younger resides in Los Angeles with his wife, two children, and dogs named Mildred and Sean Solo.[5]
