Keith Atack is an English-born guitar player known primarily for his tenure in the band child (band) who had a top ten hit in 1978..[1] with It's_Only_Make_Believe. In the following years, he worked extensively as a session musician with acts including Bonnie Tyler, Shakin’ Stevens, David Cassidy, Rick Astley and Barry Manilow[2]
Atack has composed music for film and television including 16 years of Alcohol[3] directed by Richard Jobson and appeared in the movie Cemetery Junction directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. In addition, Atack has written and recorded with Grammy-nominated rocker John Parr, who had number one hits in the UK and the US with St Elmo’s Fire.
He is the father of British actor and comedian Emily Atack[4] and ex-husband of actress and songwriter Kate Robbins[5]
In 2022, he formed the eponymous named classic rock band “Atack”[6] with Lee Small (Sweet), Bob Richards (AC/DC, Son of Man), Chris Childs (Thunder) and Nick Foley (Handsome Beasts). The band has released two singles with an album named “Nine Lives” to follow in late 2023.
