Kayla Schaffroth is an American actress and choreographer who appeared in the film Continuance (2021), productions of The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds (2012), A View from the Bridge (2012), and has worked on productions at the Old Globe Theatre and Spreckels Theatre. Schaffroth won Best Actress at the 2017 GI Film Festival San Diego for her role in the film Fletcher and Jenks (2016).[1][2][3]
Personal life
Schaffroth started performing at 3 years old.[2] She graduated from William O. Douglas Honors College at Central Washington University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts.[4]
Career
In 2016, Schaffroth was cast in Tony Olmos' short film Fletcher and Jenks, which was made as part of the 48 Hour Film Project.[1] In 2017, she won Best Actress for her role at the GI Film Festival San Diego.[5][6] Olmos later cast her in his horror film Continuance which premiered in 2021.[7] That same year Schaffroth founded Project Performer, a training center for performing arts in Encinitas, California.[2][3]
