Kawtara is a small village of 2874 hectares in Bagora Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kawtara depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 209.04% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kawtara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kawtara's pin code is 343030[4], and village code is 02310900. The area of Kawtara is segregated as 689.04 hectares irrigated area, 1620.03 hectares unirrigated, the 335.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 162.02 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
