Kaustav Bhowmick is a physicist who works in the fields of photonics, metamaterials and Microwave. He has been associated with premier names in the field of photonics in the United Kingdom, Germany and Indian Institute of Science. He is an associate professor in the department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at PES University, India where he established the Photonics Research Lab and actively conducts research. He also guides several doctoral and graduate students in aforementioned areas of research.
Early life and education
He attained his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Nottingham in 2013, where he was also awarded the High Achievers PhD Research Scholarship and British Council Nottingham Joint Chevening Scholarship.
Career
He has held earlier assistant professorships at the National Institute of Technology, Sikkim and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Deemed University.
