Katrathal is a small village of 2324 hectares in Sikar Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Katrathal depends on Sikar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Katrathal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Katrathal's pin code is 332024[4], and village code is 01691900. The area of Katrathal is segregated as 1155.4 hectares irrigated area, 842.68 hectares unirrigated, the 147.89 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 177.87 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sikar to sell earthen pots and make their living.
