Dr Kathryn Bell (born 1980) is a British dental surgeon, facial aesthetic practitioner, and Brain Tumour Charity Ambassador. Bell grew up in Sale, Greater Manchester, and attended Sale Grammar School. At the age of 17, she survived a brain tumour, brain haemorrhage, meningitis, and hydrocephalus. She received lifesaving treatment in the United States at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was treated for the tumour, haemorrhage, and meningitis. She continued her recovery at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, where she was treated for hydrocephalus.
Her remarkable recovery inspired her commitment to healthcare, resilience, and patient-centred support, and led to her involvement with The Brain Tumour Charity, where she now serves as an ambassador.
Education and Career
Bell graduated with honours from the University of Leeds Dental Institute in 2005. While at university, she was elected President of the Leeds University Dental Students’ Society, where she championed academic and student welfare initiatives.
She completed her foundation training in Selby, North Yorkshire, before spending nine years working within the NHS. In 2014, she transitioned to private practice, increasingly specialising in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry.
In 2010, she completed a postgraduate diploma with the Royal College of Surgeons and later pursued advanced training in Facial Aesthetics, including a Level 4 diploma in Skin Science. She is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Aesthetic Medicine and delivers advanced facial aesthetic treatments including composite bonding, clear aligners, polynucleotides, exosomes, and Sunekos therapy. She also offers genetic testing for certain conditions related to aesthetics (such as GlycanAge, Telotest and trichotest) and collagen support protocols for aesthetic and skin health.
In 2024, Bell was a featured speaker at the annual Colosseum Dental Conference, where she presented on The Future of Facial Aesthetics, highlighting advances in regenerative therapies, biohacking, and non-surgical skin rejuvenation.
