Kathrine Kohl (born 21 January 1991) is a Danish actress and model,[1] [2][3] known for Jacob The Baker (2023), Senior Entourage (2022), and Sound of Silence (2021)[4][5]. She rose to fame in Denmark as an actress for her role as Line in Pindsvin og tigerbalsam[6] (2002) starring Ole Thestrup, Niels Skousen, Birthe Neumann and singer Flemming Jørgensen.[7]

Early life

Kathrine was born on 21 January 1991 in Aarhus, Denmark. Her mother, Aase was a health care worker, who died of cancer when Kathrine was 21. Her father, Sven was a salesman and teacher, and died 2022. Kathrine has one older sister Anne-Sophie, who works as a nurse in Aarhus, Denmark.

She attended Medieskolerne, Media College Denmark[8] also known as Medieskolerne, where she studied film and TV production. Later, she worked as a project manager at an advertising agency in Aarhus until she embarked on her acting career and moved to Los Angeles, where she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.

On January 12, 2023, she will graduate from VIA University College with a Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Acting career

Kathrine began acting age 10, where she got her first leading role in the short film Pindsvin of tigerbalsam[9] (trans|Hedgehog & Tiger Balsam). After that she spend several years in the entertainment Industry working with film production and photography. She moved to Los Angeles in 2013 at age 21, where she booked her next films, Senior Entourage[10] starred alongside Ed Asner, Mark Rydell and Helen Reddy. In 2020, Kathrine was cast in the film based upon the award-winning trilogy of Noah benShea's[11] Jacob the Baker books.[12][13][14] She has been recognized for her acting and is now sitting on the jury of the Italian Comedy Festival.[15]

Personal life

In 2013, Kathrine met Israeli actor and producer Ian Fisher, and they got engaged in 2017, marrying in 2018 and resides in Los Angeles. In 2015, they formed their own film and television production company, CreativeWorld.

Kathrine is a dedicated photography enthusiast who possesses an array of quality cameras, and her work as a cinematographer is frequently featured in publications.[5]
