Kathooda is a small village of 10.85 hectares in Sikanderpur Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kathooda depends on Sikanderpur (NP), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kathooda's pin code is 277303[4], and village code is 09103800. The area of Kathooda is segregated as 523 hectares irrigated area, 105 hectares unirrigated area. the 55 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sikanderpur (NP) and Ballia to sell jaggery and make their living.
