Kate Castle is a British author of young adult and new adult fiction. Her debut novel Girl Island won two Golden Crown Literary Society Awards ('Goldies') in 2022 for Best Debut Novel and Best Young Adult Fiction.[1]
Personal life
Castle was born on December 9, 1974 and has lived in Epping, Essex her entire life. Castle is bisexual and has expressed her passion for writing adventures featuring young queer females as the main protagonists, due to the lack of queer representation in mainstream fiction during her youth.[2]
