Katar is a small village of 1222 hectares in Asind Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Katar depends on Asind, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 190.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Katar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Katar's pin code is 311301[4], and village code is 02793500. The area of Katar is segregated as 576 hectares irrigated area, 299 hectares unirrigated, the 58 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 289 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Katar is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1898 and has total administration over 414 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Asind and Bhilwara to sell ghee and make their living.
