Kassandra Gove is the Mayor of Amesbury, Massachusetts. She was elected as an Independent Voter on November 5, 2019, defeating incumbent Ken Gray by 157 votes.[1]
On November 2, 2021, Mayor Gove won re-election for another two-year term by defeating Republican challenger James Kelcourse by 1307 votes.[2]
Gove is a fifth-generation native of Amesbury. Her family has owned several businesses in the city since the 1920's including Gove Hardware Store, KenGo Gas, and Giggles toy store. Prior to election in 2019, she served as the Executive Directory of the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce.
