Kartasar is a small village of 388 hectares in Degana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kartasar depends on Merta City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 95.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kartasar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kartasar's pin code is 341514[4], and village code is 01853000. The area of Kartasar is segregated as 95 hectares irrigated area, 282.28 hectares unirrigated, the 3.68 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 7.42 hectare area not available for cultivation.
