Karnai is a small village of 300 hectares in Ballia Tehsil in Ballia district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karnai depends on SUKHPURA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesOne canal. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Karnai's pin code is 277304[4], and village code is 09211500. The area of Karnai is segregated as 277 hectares irrigated area, 4 hectares unirrigated area. the 1.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 15 hectare area not available for cultivation.
