Kariyana is a small village of 785 hectares in Sagwara Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kariyana depends on Sagwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Kariyana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kariyana's pin code is 314032[4], and village code is 03335200. The area of Kariyana is segregated as 53 hectares irrigated area, 283 hectares unirrigated, the 157 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 292 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sagwara and Dungarpur to sell ghee and make their living.
