Karen Moore is a Canadian film and television writer, producer and director, known for her work on Netflix comedy Workin' Moms, Mary Kills People and Rookie Blue.[1]
Moore's directorial debut short film Volcano, starring Jess Salgueiro and Hannah Cheesman, had its World Premiere at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.[2] Her film was named one of the "10 must-see Canadian short films at TIFF" by Now (newspaper) and cited as one of "6 of the best Canadian films at the Toronto International Film Festival" by Maclean's. For her work as a writer and executive producer on the CBC Television series Detention Adventure, Moore received a nomination at the 8th Canadian Screen Awards for 'Best Writing, Web Program or Series' and the show received a nomination for 'Best Web Program or Series, Fiction'.[5][6]
