Karanwas is a small village of 582 hectares in Mandal Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karanwas depends on Gangapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 20.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Karanwas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Karanwas's pin code is 311402[4], and village code is 02849300. The area of Karanwas is segregated as 66 hectares irrigated area, 155 hectares unirrigated, the 223 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 138 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Gangapur and Bhilwara to sell earthen pot and make their living.
