Karanpura is a small village of 4077 hectares in Poogal Tehsil in Bikaner district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karanpura depends on BIKANER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Karanpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. Karanpura's pin code is 334808[4], and village code is 00505700. The area of Karanpura is segregated as 10 hectares irrigated area, 1180 hectares unirrigated, the 139 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 2748 hectare area not available for cultivation.
