Karani Pura is a small village of 2172 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karani Pura depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Karani Pura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Karani Pura's pin code is 342309[4], and village code is 01919100. The area of Karani Pura is segregated as 2006 hectares unirrigated, the 160 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 6 hectare area not available for cultivation.
