Kanwariya is a small village of 282 hectares in Atru Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kanwariya depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include ,"", ,"" supply, ,"", ,"", and ,"". According to a census 2011 report, 197 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 119 male, 78 female with 160 (81.22%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 100 males and 60 females. 82 males and 54 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 6 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 37 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
