Kanpuriya is a small village of 137 hectares in Bassi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kanpuriya depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 6.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kanpuriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kanpuriya's pin code is 303004[4], and village code is 01625000. The area of Kanpuriya is segregated as 89 hectares irrigated area, 10 hectares unirrigated, the 22 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa and Jaipur to sell ghee and make their living.
