Kanpura is a small village of 164 hectares in Nawa Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kanpura depends on Nawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kanpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kanpura's pin code is 341507[4], and village code is 01900600. The area of Kanpura is segregated as 65 hectares irrigated area, 58 hectares unirrigated, the 27 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 13.76 hectare area not available for cultivation.
