Kanotiya is a small village of 1026 hectares in Atru Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kanotiya depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Kanotiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kanotiya's pin code is 325223[4], and village code is 03890600. The area of Kanotiya is segregated as 60 hectares irrigated area, 154 hectares unirrigated, the 117.85 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kanotiya has One post office (Katawar B.O) and One public telephone. Kanotiya has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Kanotiya is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1137 and has total administration over 265 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
