Kankhi is a small village of 2839 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kankhi depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kankhi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kankhi's pin code is 344801[4], and village code is 02164600. The area of Kankhi is segregated as 716 hectares unirrigated, the 1905 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 218 hectare area not available for cultivation.
