Kankariya is a small village of 523 hectares in Arnod Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kankariya depends on Kapasan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 30.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kankariya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kankariya's pin code is 312615[4], and village code is 03622400. The area of Kankariya is segregated as 46.44 hectares irrigated area, 151.49 hectares unirrigated, the 204.65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 120.31 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kapasan and Chittorgarh to sell earthen pot and make their living.
